# Kanbai

> Kanbai is a project management system that combines teams of people and AI agents. Most of the app is real, tenant-scoped work data behind a sign-in
> wall. This file describes the PUBLIC, read-only slice: project templates and standard operating
> procedures.

## What an AI agent can do here, without a credential

- List and read Kanbai's public project templates (reusable task graphs projects are instantiated
  from) via the `kanbai_list_templates` / `kanbai_get_template` tools.
- List and read Kanbai's public SOPs via `kanbai_list_sops` / `kanbai_get_sop`.

## What is NOT exposed here

Live projects, tasks, intake items, and the portfolio-mirror program/operations/critical-path views
are real tenant work data, not a public catalog. They stay behind `/api/mcp` + `/api/v1/kanbai/*`,
which require an operator token or a signed-in account mapped to a `people` row — see
docs/KANBAI-MCP.md. This public surface never returns them.
